Hi! Filming Luna's new hit single 'Sugar', which is now available for download on Itunes, was an adventure and a half.
For a start I should introduce myself, hello, my name is Abigail Tutty and I'm the director, producer and editor of Luna's new music video for 'Sugar'. I really wanted to capture the essence of the 80's while telling a story of two young girls falling in love.
If I was to describe one of the biggest challenges of this music video it would be how difficult it is to imagine how exactly the shots will correlate together to create a coherent music video.
While on the sets of the video I made sure to supply food and refreshments to the actors so they wouldn't feel distressed. Happy minds means less stress for both you and the actors.
I enjoyed every moment of filming with Luna and Megan however there is only one regret of mine which was to be more relaxed when shooting the 'party' scenes as I feel like I would have achieved the best shots if i took some time to clear my head and think.
If you're planning on making a music video in the coming future my biggest advice for you is to stay hydrated and to make sure you take breaks. Constant filming for long hours can drain both you and the actors emotionally and physically and you most likely wont enjoy the shots or the process.
